FY26 EACC Elections

Step 1 of 2

Guidelines for Campaign Literature
EACC Elections

• Campaign literature will not contain any obscenity or foul language. Literature will not contain libelous remarks about specific individuals.

• Association office equipment and supplies (Xerox, paper, membership lists, staff, etc.) will not be used by candidates. Any campaign literature sent via the interschool pony using the Association's privileges will be approved by the Nominations, Elections, and Credentials Committee. Candidates shall submit proposed literature to the Committee Chairperson, Tara Sewell, through the EACC office. Literature will be approved/disapproved within two business days. Guidelines for literature will be included with the nomination form.

• Association Representatives will not be required to distribute campaign literature but may volunteer to do so. The Chairperson of the NEC Committee will provide candidates with a list Association Reps in each school. It is up to the candidate to ask the Rep(s) to distribute/display campaign literature. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that his/her literature has been distributed properly.

• All elections literature/videos for local EACC elections must be approved by the EACC NEC Committee before dissemination.
• Candidates for local elections may submit ONE video per election cycle to be housed on the EACC website.
• Candidates for local elections may be given access to the PDF list of Rep(s) at each school (i.e. Aimee can send that pdf list to a candidate). Candidates have access to Reps and emails via the EACC website. It is up to candidates to send approved elections materials to Reps either by Pony or email (i.e. the EACC will not print flyers, share distribution lists or make address labels, etc).
• Candidates will not be given access to membership lists.
• Reps are under no obligation to pass out flyers for candidates or hang up flyers on their EACC Bulletin Board, but may do so if they so choose. However, Reps must be consistent- if they pass out/hang up approved literature for one candidate, they must do the same for all candidates.
